MEAL Manager [Nigeria]


 

1. Develop, Manage, and oversee the implementation of MEAL systems.

  • Spearhead the conceptualization, design, and roll-out of MEAL and information system systems at the program and project level.
  • Develop procedures, guidelines, and processes for collecting and analyzing baseline data and progress monitoring data across all locations.
  • Train and mentor key district staff on data collection tools, analysis, storage; and use of data for informed decision-making and advocacy
  • Establish systems and procedures that enhance the regular analysis of data collected from SCII and other Partners.

2. Collect, collate, analyze, and prepare M&E reports.

  • Develop a logical framework, with clear objectives, inputs, outputs, and outcomes activities.
  • Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation plan that enables the program implementation team to gather concrete evidence about the outcome of a project to determine the impact of the program.
  • Create appropriate M&E tools to measure the indicators.

3. Streamline Program Monitoring and Evaluation.

  • Develop and/or streamline indicators at the project level that can be used to monitor and evaluate performance and progress towards set goals.
  • Develop a consolidated project database to be housed in SCII Office which can be accessed for specific data and information at any time.
  • Prepare periodic performance monitoring reports by use of graphs, charts and other visual aids.
  • Support Project staff to establish systems of collecting and utilizing project monitoring data for performance management and improvement.

4. Oversee Reporting and Documentation.

  • Responsible for ensuring timely and high-quality reporting by working with the Director of programme to streamline reporting processes and develop reporting templates and formats.
  • Support Project staff and stakeholders to be able to utilize project data, to develop meaningful and high-quality reports.
  • Build capacity of Project staff in report writing, proposal development, and streamline reporting channels to enhance efficiency, timeliness, and information flow.
  • Work with the Director of programme to document promising practices, stories of change and lessons learned.

5. Participate in Assessment, Research and Knowledge Development.

  • Work closely with the Director of Programme where necessary on designing research concepts and implementing research activities.
  • Supervise and/or participate in developing research instruments and overseeing field work for surveys, studies, and assessments that SCII is involved in.
  • From data collected, identify knowledge and information gaps and propose ways of filling them.
  • Identify research opportunities and networks that SCII can benefit from.

6. Assist in Program Development and Resource Mobilization strategies.

  • Identify opportunities for grant making either through direct funding, sub-granting, and partnerships with other actors.
  • Collect and maintain a bibliography of literature and reference materials that can be frequently used for proposal development, literature reviews and situation analysis

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦550,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abuja: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: 6 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
